Phoenix Beginners

The Phoenix Beginners training utilizes a series of exercises created with the intent of strengthening and stretching the body's core. The training mobilizes the spine and serves to improve overall flexibility. Our classes are designed to provide beginning youth with personal attention and assistance. They emphasize coordination, balance, flexibility, and strength training.  Students learn the tenants of Taekwondo and the customs of the martial art.


Features of the course:

  • designed for ages 7 to 17
  • afternoon classes
  • white and yellow belts
  • age-specific exercise routine and basic mastery of Korean terminology
  • exposure and deeper understanding of Taekwondo tenants
  • basic kicking, punching, stance routines, hand techniques including blocking, kicking, hand strikes, and basic forms
  • exposure to competition
